Can you take a picture of your phone screen on the Droid X?

Q. I am saying you know how you can take a pic of screen on your ipod touch? I was wondering if you can do the same on droid x (android phone)

A. It's annoying, but on Android phones, you can only do this if your phone is rooted, and then you get an app specifically to do screen shots.

It is possible to root a Droid X, but I wouldn't bother doing it just to enable screen shots - rooting can be tricky - if it goes wrong you can brick your phone - and rooting also voids your phone's warranty.

What is the best android phone out right now?
Q. I just got rid of my DROID X and I want something better. The Motorola Defy looks cool but it lacks other stuff.

I want something with 4g and a high resolution camera like 8mp. And all of the standard android available apps.

The perfect phone would be a mix of all, indestructible, 8mp or better camera, 4g, and a large touch screen. Size of DROIDX. Maybe even face time camera on the front.

A. Samsung galaxy s II

What are the big cons of rooting your Android phone other than voiding the warranty?

Q. I am looking at rooting my android phone (captivate) so I can do wifi hotspots without having to tether it. Is it worth it?

A. Rooting is up to you... the only thing rooting does is give you SuperUser access (good power) to the phone.

Contrary to Yahoo Answers and Noob Belief... Rooting does NOT violate Warranty. Androids ARE NOT I-crap-phones and.. oh god... i need germ-x now... Gulp... Jailbreaking... Where's my mints!...

The only CON.... is if your the kind of person who thinks they know everything... and roots without following all the directions... and ends up bricking the phone...

go to Androidcentral.com and research

Enjoy

Anyone know how to increase current that is flowing through my charging cable to my phone?
Q. I use an mhl adapter on my htc one X android phone to play games on my hdtv.

Basically, I keep getting warnings that the adapter is using up more current than the charger is providing. So even though I am charging my phone I am continuously losing power.
Anyone know how to increase the current that is going to my phone?

A. SEE DISCRIPTION ON THE BACK OF YOUR PHONE CHARGER ,SEE OPTION "OUTPUT CURRENT "
IT MAY BE 1A OR 800ma >
CURRENT RATING 1A IS BIGGER THEN 800ma
BUY A NEW CHARGER WITH BIGGER RATING CURRENT
