Q. I am stuck between Samsung Galaxy Ace and HTC Wildfire S . I want a phone which has got better graphic quality , fast processor , good quality games , good apps and it should not lag while multitasking . The phone should be overall better . Ace has faster processor than wildfire s but wildfire s can be overclocked easily(is it true ????can this damage the phone in any way ???)
Generally talking about samsung and htc i have heard that htc android phones are better . Is it true ???Will ace and wildfire s be getting the latest android update . I have also read somewhere that samsung phones get updates very late .

A. Both of these phones are mid-to-low range phones. The Galaxy Ace will definitely get the Gingerbread update, but as far as the Ice cream Sandwich goes, chances are slim to none, judging by samsung's track record. The Wildfire S has a better chance of getting the update, but not by much. If you don't want to use the phone for more than a year, both phones will do equally good, although the Samsung will perform better because it has the same processor as the Wildfire S, only overclocked to 800 MHz. If you don't want anything more than Angry Birds or Doodle Jump, these phones are OK. If you want to play HD games (like those from Gameloft) then I suggest looking into something more expensive. The new Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro SK17i (not the X10 mini pro, these are two different phones) has a 1 Ghz processor with the Adreno 205 graphics (The Ace and Wildfire S have the Adreno 200) and should do nicely, although there seem to be some concerns regarding a static noise while talking to someone, along with poor build quality. The Wildfire S has problems with internal memory (actual user memory available to you will be less than 50MB, which means you will be able to keep very few apps with you. The app to SD feature doesn't work for many apps). If you want a proper performing phone, I would suggest saving up and going for the Nexus S: It has everything you need for about Rs.5000 (USD$ 110 more). Check out ebay.in (if you are in India, and judging by your questions about engineering, you probably are) for this week's "Deals of the week". They have the Nexus S for 19K.
