Q. I got my first android today (Samsung Infuse 4G with AT&T) and it's charging so I didn't really get to play around with it yet. I used it for a few minutes and I am very happy, considering I was using an Iphone 3g which I thought was HORRIBLE. Anyway I want to know how to adjust the brightness, know some good apps and what to expect when I plug it into my computer.

Now.... Lets break your question down! LOL There is just toooooo much info to tell ya.. I'll be basic and let your learn the rest. We all were noobs at 1 point in life..

------------------ Settings app...... display... select your brightness to none, auto, or custom

------------------ Well, as of March 2011, there are about 275,000+ apps (60% are free)... Here is what I love...
*** LookOut Mobile Security - your #1 APP!!!! Scans all downlaods for viruses, malware, spyware, etc... Also, if you loose your phone, it will GPS track it on your mylookout account online! Also it has SIREN mode, turn the siren ON via the website and your phone will SCREAM until you turn it off on the website
*** Watchdog Task Manager - Makes sure apps dont go crazy and drain battery life. "Advanced Task Killer" is not meant for the Infuse!--- Please remember that!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*** next, PowerAmp - greatest MP3 player ever! You'll see why!
*** Handcent SMS - This apps will replace your stock texting app... customize ANYTHING about teh text... colors, themes, signatures, emoticons, fonts, display, tones, etc ANYTHING
*** Ringdroid - make your own ringtones from your current mp3 library
*** Free MP3 Download - never buy MP3s again!
*** Weatherbug - weather and radar at your fingertips
*** Dolphin Web HD - better internet browser than stock browser
*** Fusion Visual Voicemail - Free visual voicemail... drop that carrier paid stuff! SAVE MONEY!

what to expect when I plug it into my computer.
----------- Android has 4 USB settings... PC mode/suite (NEVER USE IT!), Windows Media SYNC, (NEVER USE IT), Mass storage mode, and Charge mode... When you first plug it in for the first time, you'll see a usb icon appear... go to notification bar on top... swing down... click the icon... you should be in Mass storage mode... if not, select it... Now, the phone will auto install drivers onto your pc... this will take about 5-15 minutes depending on your PC LOL... Take a break!..... Now, you should be cool... to sync your mp3s, you can do it 2 ways... I use Windows Media player... Let WMP sync to the phone.... the phone should appear in the upper right corner of WMP, go to sync tab.... now hit sync... depending on you library size, this can take a long time... Mine took 45 minutes (about 600 songs) LOL.... OR, if you tech savy, find your mp3s on yoru PC/laptop... copy all... go to My computer... your'll see your phone listed as a extra jump drive (mass storage mode)... open it... go to music folder... if its not there, make a folder called "Music". and paste all there!!!!!!!!! Do the same with your pictures... but paste in Picture folder... same with videos... but in Video folder... or let WMP do it all............. after that, disconnect from PC/laptop... powercycle phone for good measure.... open PowerAMP or stock music mp3 player... and enjoy! Open Gallery to see your pics... Open video player to wathc your vids.... Walla....!! Enjoy

A new phone for me, and i have verizon?
Q. im tryin to decide if i should just get a phone, or one that can have mp3 features as well. like i had a ipod but then lost it so im usin my backup mp3 player. but i want a new phone to surf the web now and what not seein i dont have a ipod touch. im wondering what should i do? i really like the iphone cuz all my music is on itunes. what should i do??? thanks

A. first... screw Apple and its ipod and iphones and itunes... you dont need Apple to live... be yourself.. enjoy life... OWN your phone
second.... get a Android phone.... Verizon has Droid X, Droid OG, 2, pro, Ally, Incredible... plus the new 4G android coming out... Verizon's CES press release is tommorrow 1-6-2011 where they unveil there new flagship phone... Droid Terminator (i still hope they call it that).. AT&T's CES press release was today... Terminator's Sister, the Motorolla Atrix was annouced...

Third, after you got the Android.... go to the market and get PowerAMP... the sickest MP3 ive ever seen... who puts bass & tremble and a 10 band customizable equalizer on a MP3 app! LOL This will be your mp3 player....
fourth... get Isync... this will transfer any music and pics on your itunes account, due to the Apple control of your life, to your android phone...... This will cover your music library for good
