How to use a phone to give your computer bluetooth?

Q. I would like to hook up something to my computer by using bluetooth. However, my computer doesn't have bluetooth hardware installed. I do however have a droid eris (android phone with bluetooth). Is there a way I can connect this to my computer using a cord and then have the phone feed the bluetooth signal to my computer? Thanks.
PS Please don't tell me to just buy an adapter. I know I could buy one but would like to try this first.

A. no that cannot be done
your receiving end device needs to have a Bluetooth hardware installed in order to receive anything

should I install custom firmware onto my android phone?
Q. I am looking to buy an android phone, either the droid DNA or razr maxx. A friend of mine has been boasting about the iphone's features and told me that the android OS is terrible and that droid phones are only good with custom firmware. I was wondering if after I purchase an android phone whether or not I should add custom firmware to it or not. (it should come with the latest android OS I can get).
P.S. -please only answer my question. this is not supposed to spark an iphone v droid debate.

A. The dna pretty much comes with the latest iteration of android and razr maxx hd is going to get an update so i don't think u need to install a custom rom in order to run the latest version.
the android OS is 10 x times more feature rich than iOS which luks pretty blunt by modern standards and is equally smooth.plus these android phones offer u cutting edge hardware which the iphone will take about 2 yrs to get.
Ur friend is just trying to get u into his flock.
