what is the best android phone from metro pcs?

Q. hi all, i have been looking and phones and want some opinions.... there are a lot of nice phones out there but i am wondering about:

Coolpad Quattro™ 4G

LG Connect 4G

HTC Wildfire S™

thanks!

A. The best in my mind is Lg Connect 4G,but see for yourself
If you've never lived in China, then chances are you've never heard of smartphone maker Coolpad. The company, which is a major mobile player across the Pacific (Coolpad outsells Apple there by a wide margin), hopes to make the jump to the United States with the Quattro 4G ($79 contract-free from metroPCS as of 10/2/2012), its first smartphone offering here. Though the phone has speedy 4G LTE and a good-sized 4-inch display, the Quattro 4G's clunky feel, outdated operating system, and poor camera won't make Coolpad a household name here any time soon.

ne of the recent phones to be released by the Taiwanese mobile giant HTC is the HTC Wildfire S. It is primarily meant to be a budget class Android phone and it has really served the purpose. It caught our attention at first sight and we have loved the phone ever since. So we thought we would give it our full attention and focus on the pros and cons of the HTC Wildfire S. So, here is the list of pros and cons of the phone.

Pros:

The phone has really excellent design and dimension specifics of 101.3 x 59.4 x 12.4 mm lengthwise, breadthwise and by thickness respectively. The device weighs a mere 105g which competed with all the devices in the market today.

The TFT capacitive touchscreen is actually miserly but given the cost of the phone, we feel it is pretty much worth it! We have always loved the HTC Sense UI and it is the same in this phone too.

The microSD expansion of the phone’s memory can be done up to 32GB which is really awesome but we were pissed with the internal memory specifics of the phone. We will come to that in the cons section. Still, we loved the RAM of the phone which is a pretty decent 512MB one.

The camera is a pretty decent 5MP shooter which can shoot good pictures at a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels, has features like autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, etc. VGA video recording is also possible at 24 fps, in the phone.

Unlike the LG phones, the HTC Wildfire S runs on the most advanced version of the Android operating system, the Android v2.3 (Gingerbread) and this is one of the features we love most about the phone.

Cons:

Of course, the phone has its own set of bad qualities too. Some of them are manifested in the form of bad processor, bad battery, etc. HTC, learn fast!

The processor of the phone is a really simple 600 MHz processor which can be easily beaten even by a Nokia 5130 Xpress Music phone (remember those red phones which caused quite a furore when they were released)

We also hate the speeds of GPRS and EDGE, which are 114 kbps and 560 kbps respectively. I mean come on, you can give us better speeds for the money we are paying. The phone isn’t that cheap!

The battery of the phone really sucks! The 1230 lithium ion fuel is no match for the rate at which Android is growing virulently! A powerful battery is a must have in all phones and HTC simply does not seem to understand this basic fact as far as mobile phones are concerned!

Anyone looking for a budget Android device; buy this one and you’ll not regret it!

How to Get Secure WiFi Internet while Traveling -- For Laptop, Cell Phone, iPad?
Q. I'm looking for an data privacy and internet security software that requires little-to-no configuration and is able to protect all of my electronic devices in real time.

A. It's quite simple. Install a WiFi encryption software or application on your laptop, smartphone, cell phone or tablet (compatible with iPad, Samsung, other Android tablets, also Windows and Mac laptops):

http://wifisecurity.ellsed.com

This automatically takes care of WiFi internet security on all of those devices while traveling. It also keeps you anonymous online on unsecured WiFi connections that you're likely to encounter in foreign cities.

Additionally, if you use an iPad while traveling then here's a cool trick that works very well on that tablet. It takes care of BOTH WiFi and 3G/4G security on iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch (any version, model or make):

Update for Galaxy Note?

Q. Hi People, I posted this yesterday and everyone seems clueless about it.

Does anybody know when there will finally be ICE CREAM SANDWICH for galaxy note?

I can't stand Gingerbread...the most simple of actions either make the phone lag/ crash and the UI is even worse! It was meant to be a so CALLED "Upgrade" from the S2 which has ICE CREAM SANDWICH and runs games/ apps flawlessly with no lag and can easily manage apps, doesn't get hot ect, ect.

Websites keeps saying it will be release Q2 2012? what the hell does that even mean, even google can't define it? I love samsung phones but they are just terrible at promising updates then stalling behind.

Regards

Shane.
Android phones do update like IO phones (apple)

I recently upgraded my Galaxy S2 from 2.3.4 to android 4.0.3 (ice cream sandwich) mid april - If you want to be helpful atleast get your facts right before making blunt answers

A. Android smartphones won't update like iOS.

Q. I already know about HTC Wildfire S and Samsung Galaxy Ace, Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro . Does anyone know any other smart android phones in 2011

How do i connect my android phone to a 2011 nissan sentra to player music from my phone?
Q. I have an lg optimus l9 p769 phone and i want to know how to play the music from my phone into my radio

A. One of four ways depending on what features your stereo has.

1. AUX input. Simple, easy, analog audio. It looks like a headphone jack on your stereo. Get an AUX cable (headphone jack on bot sides) and connect it between your phone and car. You change songs directly from the phone.

2. USB input. Plug the phone in with your USB charge/transfer cable that you normally use on the computer. Often the stereo will read the song and artist names and you can navigate them like folders directly off of the stereo. You may have to change a setting on your phone to make it work. This will also charge the phone when it's plugged in.

3. Bluetooth. Look for the bluetooth symbol on the stereo. Pair up the device wireless with the car stereo. It's easy, but it hurts your battery and the audio quality isn't quite as good as the other two options.

4. If you don't have any of those features you have to use an FM transmitter. Sadly they suck. They plug into the phone and tune into an empty radio station. They have lots of interference and sound kinda fuzzy all the time. Additionally they cut out a lot and you always have to re-tune them if you're driving long distances.

Can you recommend an Android phone with a keyboard?

Q. I currently have a Motorola Dext (EU version of Motorola Cliq) which I dearly love. But it is starting to show it's age & Motorola refuse to upgrade these past Android 1.5. I know these can be cracked & updated but I couldn't make it work & it's really not worth paying someone to crack such an old phone.

What I Love: Android, large screen, slide out keyboard.
What I hate: Crap battery life, No updates & therefore poor app compatibility

What I would really like to replace it with is more up to date version of the same thing, i.e. another slide out keyboard design, but there are so few on the market. Can people recommend some phones for me to look at.

A. The Samsung Galaxy Smart has a slideout qwerty, as does the HTC Shift something or other... these are both really reliable and advanced smartphones.
The thing with updates is that no phone is going to CONTINUE getting updates, because at some point any phone will be outdated. For example, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is IT right now, so of course it's getting updates... but in a year, that phone will be really old, and might not be getting new Android updates anymore. So just choose a phone you're happy with, and don't worry too much about the updating feature.
One thing, though... I understand why a lot of people want physical qwerty keyboards, but I'd have to say I've converted from that, thanks to the text input method called Swype. Read about it here: http://howdoyouandroid.com/2012/11/how-do-you-use-swype-keyboard.html It's SO much easier than any of those lame virtual keyboards, and actually is pretty close to as fast as typing on a computer keyboard, even if you're up there around 120 wpm.
Last point, about batteries... tbh, smartphones have pretty lame battery life right now. But I've totally overcome that problem, by following this method: http://howdoyouandroid.com/2012/11/how-do-you-deal-with-battery-that.html
Feel free to comment there, if you have any more Android questions!

How can i buy a used iphone and still keep my current cell phone carrier?

A. The iPhone (play /ˈaɪfoʊn/ EYE-fohn) is a line of smartphones designed and marketed by Apple Inc. It runs Apple's iOS mobile operating system, originally named "iPhone OS". The first iPhone was released on June 29, 2007;[14] the most recent iPhone, the sixth-generation iPhone 5, was released on September 21, 2012.[15] The user interface is built around the device's multi-touch screen, including a virtual keyboard rather than a physical one. The iPhone has Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity (2G, 3G and 4G (iPhone 5 only)).

Ideal touch phones to buy?

Q. Well... Budget will be 5k-8k. My choices of brands will be Nokia, Samsung (as Android is becoming more popular), Sony Erickson.

Kindly suggest some good "touch phones". Enough of typing.. My friend has bought Samsung Android for 8K.. But something new.. Shouldn't match, right? :D

I don't mind the video clarity, but slightly good camera needed too! ~2mp cam does.!

P.S: Do not tell me, "if you EXTEND the budget to 2K-3K you ll fly away with varieties."
I live in India, so amount in Rupees and availability of phone here, is of course, a must.

A. Try Samsung Champ C 330. Or you can wait for iPhone 4S. Its real good. Very, very good indeed. Don't worry about pricing. Before you think of prices, check out my blog.

What is the usual file size of Android games?

Q. I'm planning to buy an Android phone. It has a small internal memory, so I'm trying to find out how many games I can install. I need to know the usual size of an Android game (the game not the installer). Also, how large are HD games like the ones from Gameloft?

A. 3D "HD" games are often 50MB installers, but take up up to 70MB once fully installed. Not many games take this much, Angry Birds Space is 28MB, Facebook is 12MB, but out of 125 apps on my phone, 100 of them are under 10MB. You can also find substitutes for some apps, like FBM is a Facebook replacement that uses the mobile web version, and it is a 600KB download.

Is there a way to make a game on an android phone?

What is a quality cheap android phone similar to an iphone/ipod touch that will meet my needs?

Q. I want a user friendly quality smartphone that is much cheaper but functions similar to an iphone, i want to send txts easily, be able to browse internet and read e books and watch videos decently and also the biggest thing is music! It will be maybe the primary reason why i use it, i'll sell my ipod touch and i love how easy it is on that so i want something similar, thanks! =]

A. A very good website to look for a cheap mobile phone is eBay. You're able to do a search for the model type, make and perhaps even the specification you want. Then filter the search results depending on the amount you would like to invest and you can either buy it instantly or possibly attempt to win with a bid on an auction. Usually auctions are a little lower priced if you happen to are successful in one.

Is virgin Mobile releasing a new android phone soon?

Q. I know they released the Samsung Intercept not too long ago, but it is a low-end android phone, and it uses 2.1, not the new OS. The UK virgin mobile store has multiple high-end android phones like a Galaxy Phone, the HTC Desire and a few others. Is there a chance that any of these phones are coming to america soon?

A. UK Virgin Mobile and US Virgin are two completely different entities and have no connection with each other. The answer is no since Virgin Mobile UK and Canada have contracts and higher prices which allow them to sell higher end phones.

What are some rpg games that allow you to pick your class in the beginning of the game?

Q. Like, for Android phones there is a game call "Inotia 1,2,3,&4" and when you make a new game you have to choose your class (warrior, wizard, knight, ranger, assassin, and so on) and I wanted to know other games for handheld or console like that.

A. If you're looking for more on your android, there's a game called Zenonia that I find very similar to Inotia (which I just started playing and love!). Zenonia is also available for PSP, if I'm not mistaken. The first two are $.99 on Android, and there is a 3 and 4 that are free as far as I've seen. On the Apple store they were all free at one point, so if you have a ipod touch/iphone, it's there also and cheaper.

Also on android is World of Magic, not sure if you get to pick a class on that one I played it a long time ago and forgot.

One of my favorites for the DS was Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles: Echoes of time. It allows you to pick a "race" at the beginning of the game and I'm pretty sure it is a sequel of a game in the series that does the same, though I never played that one.

If you have a Wii, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles:Echoes of Time is also available on it, though it is oddly set up as they didn't change the design when they ported it from the DS.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers on Wii is nice to play also, but I don't recall it allowing you to choose a class. You get the different races in your party as you play if I remember right.

On XBOX 360/PS3 there are MANY games out there that have this ability, not sure if you are inquiring about those or just handhelds. Dragon Age Origins and Sacred 2 are some examples I can think of. My fav on the XBOX 360 is Borderlands, which has a class system, but is also a shoot and loot rather than having RPG like game play, it has a bit more action than you might expect. Dungeons and Dragons Daggerdale is one that I've never played but having played Dungeons and Dragons in high school, I'm sure there is no way they could build this game without a class system. Oblivion and Skyrim have class systems, also. XBOX Arcade has several, like Crimson Alliance and Torchlight.

If you're looking only for android, I am posting a link to some top android RPGs. Zenonia 4 and Inotia 3 are on this list, so I figure some of the other games may be similar to them.

Hope this post is helpful!

Will my phone company charge me for using chat on a free game?
Q. I got a free game on my android phone and I don't want to play a game because it has chat on it and I don't want to get charged for that. My phone company is AT&T. I am connected to the internet. I just want to know if I will get charged though because the game is free...

A. if it uses data and you don't have a data plan (or you have, and have used it all up) then you will be charged per MB, but that's really cheap.

what is the difference between IPAD and Laptop comuter?

Q. which one is better for watching videos and movies?
what capacity should they have that don't freeze?
the kind that we can take with us any where even in the park or beach, how much it cost? thanks.

A. TWO DIFFERENCES
1ST HARDWARE(biggest difference is in CPU(processor) of the IPAD has different and more limited instructions compared to x86 or x64 CPU) and also generally laptop is more powerful than IPAD

2ND SOFTWARE(IOS(Iphone Operating System) is more limited than convectional x86 or x64 O.S.(Operating System)-es )

you have to consider that ADOBE does not support FLASH on IOS (this means that you will not be able to watch movies online which requires FLASH) (ADOBE no longer support FLASH on android)

there is new product which has both abilities to be tablet and two be laptop
take a look at this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=fubXx5RDfjc

Please do not be dumb and don't buy IPAD be smarter and gat something better like "Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T" or "Nexus 7" they are most powerful tablets. with better O.S. as of today 11/04/2012!!!
_________________________________________________
unlike other who commented after me I hate criticizing other people

I work as ICT(independent computer technician)

and i have deep understanding off all unix type of system and Windows(the 1st law of the windows you must reinstall O.S. off the windows after one buys even new and fresh(looks like he did not know about this)

as of quick time(quick time is completely different than FLESH player though it supports FLV(flesh video) files it does not support flesh it self).

and as for android i have android phone "HTC ONE X"-global version and "NEXUS 7"

I had iphone 3g in past(that how i know IOS from deep inside its file system)
and can surely say that as of O.S. android is really similar to IOS

because IOS is based on macintosh and macintosh is based on unix
and Android is based on linux and linux is reversed engineered from UNIX.
but because of Android is made by Google and it is open source that is why I prefer it

as for the hardware IPAD hardware is already outdated by today's standards

as for hardware on which android is pre installed is mostly like 90% percent are outdated by 2 or 6yrs
but at least 5% is up to date and far a head of apple by 1 or 2 yrs

What android phone has the best sound quality?

Q. I prefer an up and coming android phone, budget is around 500-600 USD

A. I think the Samsung Galaxy S is the Android with the best sound quality.

Perfect audio quality
Like many other things about this handset, the audio output of the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S is downright impressive. The handset was reasonably loud and scored excellently on each and every reading in our test.
The signal-to-noise ratio is impressive and so are the flawless dynamic range and frequency response.
The distortion levels are also top-notch and generally there is nothing about the Galaxy S audio quality that we can frown at. And here go the results so you can see for yourselves.

http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9000_galaxy_s-review-478p6.php

The Motorola Atrix has excellent audio quality.

Excellent audio quality
The Motorola Atrix 4G audio output is pretty good, as is to be expected from a device in this price range. However Motorola seems to have allowed for its volume levels to be pushed beyond what the smartphone can actually handle when there are no headphones attached.
If you punch in the volume level all the way up when you are connected to an active external amplifier you get really loud output but with loads and loads of distortion, which is not quite ideal.
That's why you would be better off lowering the volume a couple of steps down - you will be enjoying some of the cleanest output we have ever seen. The Atrix 4G won't be one of the loudest devices around, but it scored greatly in every part of our test.
When headphones come into play the volume is automatically limited so there's nothing to worry about. There's a notable increase in the stereo crosstalk and some intermodulation distortion creeps in, but those are hardly detectable in real life scenarios.

http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_atrix_4g-review-589p7.php

Some other phones (though not Android) that has excellent or even "perfect" audio quality are...

All Iphones
Samsung S8500 Wave
The best Nokia phone in terms of sound quality is the 5800. (not that I would recommend it at this point)

What are you going to do when Google infringes on your privacy starting March 1, 2012?

Q. Starting March 1, 2012, Google will be collecting data on everything you do on their websites and products. This includes Google search engine, Youtube, gMail, and all android phones.

Democracy and capitalism are failing because people are not participating in the system. People are complaining about corporate greed yet people keep using the products and services from the corporations they are complaining about. Knowing that Google will be infringing on your privacy, what are you going to do about it?

A. Not use google.
I totally agree with you, but this isn't much different then what other sites like facebook are doing. As far as they are concerned now a days anything you do related to or with their properties is their property. Even credit card companies are keeping track of the things you buy and selling it to other companies so they know their strong and weak marketing areas.
I can see the usefulness of the process but privacy much be an option. Say, if they give you a check box to store your preferred settings and such.

Q. I just bought my Sony Xperia arc and I have been browsing on my phone on the 'adroid app market' and I want to buy games, music etc but I need to use my credit card but Im just wondering if its safe to make purchases online on my phone.

You hear all these stories about peoples phones getting hacked into so was just wondering what steps I should take to make make sure my purchases are sae and secure.

A. Nothing is 100% secure but the android market isn't just some small website asking for money it is google's app market. As long as you haven't downloaded any fishy applications or rooted your device it should be secure.

Best tablet under $200?

Q. On my list I've had the Nexus 7, Galaxy Tab 2, Visual Land Prestige 10 and Coby MID8065. But every time I decide on one I end up finding reviews on other sites that put me off, or find out it's missing something crucial for my needs.

What I want:
Android 4.0 or higher
1.2 GHz
At least a 5000 mAH for battery
7-10" screen, though closer to 10" is preferred
1 GB RAM
At least 8 GB storage/capacity
Camera (pic & video), speakers, usual ports (HDMI, micro SD, USB, etc)
Bluetooth enabled is a must!
Google Play is a must!
Adobe compatible
Capacitive screen
Wi-fi capable

I'll be using it mostly for long periods of note taking so it needs to have great battery life.

My only way of connecting my husband's tablet (Asus EEE Slider - a bit out of my price range) to get online is through bluetooth. We usually tether the phone to the laptop since the only internet we have is on the phone (read: no wi-fi), so if he ever needs to get online on his tablet for basic browsing is by enabling bluetooth on my phone and sharing the connection. Bit of a pain, but it's cheaper that way.

Google Play capability is needed because I like their apps better. Also, if I so happen to be in an area with wi-fi, Hulu Plus has to be compatible - they took their list down from the site so I don't know which individual tablets are supported anymore.

A larger screen size is preferred for typing, though I like the compact size of the 7".

Please, nothing higher than $200, NO apple products and it has to meet all of the above. TIA!! =)
ETA: Visual Land is definitely off the list since it doesn't support Google.
@Devon, I'm an adult. I have bills to pay and I like to live within my means. So if I'm looking for a $200 and under tablet that means I'm looking for a $200 and under tablet.

A. Hi. I would recommend Galaxy Tab 2 7" from these options.

- Android 4.0 or higher: Yes Upgradable to 4.1 too
1.2 GHz: Dual Core 1Gh Processor

- At least a 5000 mAH for battery
4000mAH but enough for around 11 hours of battery backup

- 7-10" screen, though closer to 10" is preferred
7" would be better option since the budget you mentioned is best for 7" screen only

-At least 8 GB storage/capacity: Yes plus microSD slot

-Camera (pic & video), speakers, usual ports (HDMI, micro SD, USB, etc): Yes all those ports and Camera is there. Rear Facing 3.15MP and front facing VGA camera

-Bluetooth enabled is a must!: Yes
-Google Play is a must: Yes
-Adobe compatible: Yes
-Capacitive screen: Yes
-Wi-fi capable: Yes
-1 GB RAM: Yes

Galaxy Tab 2 7" - Review from an actual user:
http://www.amazon.com/review/R3P0PPZ6OKV1EW/?_encoding=UTF8&ASIN=B007P4VOWC&camp=1789&creative=390957&linkCode=ur2&nodeID=&tag=aajems-20

Nexus has front facing camera only
While the tablet you have mentioned is pretty unknown and I dont actually recommend something that you cant rely on.

500MB Mobile Internet - HTC Desire?
Q. So I'm getting a HTC Desire mobile phone from a third-party website on the network : 3.

My plan is as follows : 300 texts, 300 minutes, 5000 3 to 3 minutes, Skype, Messenger, and 500MB internet data.

I am fine with all the other ones, however just wondering if 500MB is going to be enough for me?
Most of the time I will be connected to wifi, as I will be at home.

However when I go out to places without wifi range I will still want to use internet.

I have 500MB every month and when I'm not in range of wifi, I will be :

Watching videos on youtube.
Browsing the web.
Browsing the Android App Store.
Using Friend stream to update and read facebook status's.

Hope you guys can let me know if 500MB will last me a month or will I need to find a better deal?

A. You will use 500MB in your first few days using youtube without wifi. 500 is more than enough for webpages, email, facebook, etc. The real bandwidth hogs are streaming video and audio. Consider using them only with wifi or get a few gigs a month at least.

Should i Wait for iphone to come to verizon?

Q. apparantly apple ordered chips that only verizon uses so its leading to verizon getting the iphone. or i could get the Droid X. im hesitant about getting the droid x though because every time i get a new phone, a better one comes out the next month. do u think a new droid will come out soon?

A. Um no. They didn't order chips that ONLY Verizon uses- they SUPPOSEDLY ordered the type of chips that Verizon, and lots of other networks around the world, use. India uses the same type of network that Verizon does- thats a billion people- maybe they're releasing one for India- everyone just automatically assumes that its for Verizon, and every year, it's not. These rumors come around every year, and every year, no Verizon iPhone. They didnt want it when Apple came to them first back in 2006 and they dont want it now. Why would they, when any Android phone crushes the iDont any day of the week, and Android is already selling more phones than Apple anyways?? Plus, ATT knows that without the iPhone, they have nothing, so they will pay Apple as much as they want in order to keep it. Why would you ever want such a horrible phone?

Personally, I would choose an Android phone any day because on the iPhone:

-cant take out the battery
-no removable memory
-only Apple-approved apps
-STILL no true multi-tasking like Android
-cant customize your phone AT ALL
-no Flash support
-cant install apps from your computer
-no widgets
-no free GPS navigation
-no mobile hotspot
-no free wireless music downloads
-no ringback tones
-no refunds for paid apps
-all file syncing MUST be done through iTunes (pictures, etc.)
-Android phones have more memory storage
-most Android phones have better cameras
-no standard USB cable like all other phones
-the new iPhone has horrible antenna issues
-instant Android OTA software updates- don’t have to wait a year like iPhone
-can’t get service in an ATT store- have to find an Apple store
-works on ATTs horrible network
-no unlimited data
-tethering comes out of your data plan instead of being separate

Android is miles ahead of Apple- with the new 4.0 software, Apple is only now letting people do things that Android can, like add folders to their home screen, because God forbid that anyone should be able to do that on their cell phone!! And even in 4 years, they haven’t been able to give the iPhone true multi-tasking capabilities, like Android. It took them 4 years to put a flash on the camera for crying out loud!! By the time Apple puts out a new iPhone, there’s a better Android phone out 4 months later. Bottom line: they will always be trailing Android.

Android is already selling more phones than Apple, and it’s been out half the time that the iPhone has. By fall, the Market will have over 100,000 apps, which is more than the Apple Store had at its 2-year mark. Android’s open-source nature will always be more appealing to devs and phone manufacturers because they can market to every carrier, and dozens of phones, instead of 1 carrier and 1 phone. The possibilities are literally endless as far as Android is concerned, because ANYONE can make an app to do ANYTHING on the phone. With Apple, they have to approve every single app that goes into the Store. They even rejected an app because it said the word Android in it- how far do you really think they’re gonna go with that kind of closed-minded thinking?? I want to decide what goes on my phone, not the other way around..

Yes a better Android phone comes around every 4-6 months, but the X would be a worthwhile phone to get, unless you want to wait for a 4G phone next year. You could also only do a 1 year contract instead of a 2 year, and then you'd be eligible to upgrade next June again

what is the good mobile phone between these three? samsung galaxy S3 or HTC one X or HTC EVO 3D?
Q. i want to buy new mobile phone but i dont know which mobile to buy most advice me about Samsung Or HTC but i was planning to buy Sonyericsson Now i Need help to choose good mobile with good performance

A. The Samsung Galaxy S III is currently the most advanced device in the market. It has similar HUGE response like iPhone 4 released two years ago. Samsung Galaxy S III represent the newest generation of Android smartphones. HTC One X or HTC Evo 3D is one class lower.

The Galaxy S III has been released in Europe and India so far. In the US the device is currently available from third-party retailers. The device will be available any time soon from AT&T and T-Mobile. So if you need the phone right now, the HTC One X is the best shot available at this time.

Can you edit the android button colors?

Is the samsung galaxy s3 mini a good choice if not what are some goo ones with front facing camera?
Q. I need an android phone. Touch screen with 5 or more mp rear facing and a front facing camera for taking pics and videos and to skype must be android 4.0 4.1 4.2 for a ten year old must be must be 2500 TTD or less prepaid

A. Why not iPhone? iPhones have a really nice camera and it will get an awesome (free) system update this fall that maks it faster and has a really simple yet beautiful design. And if you think an iPhone is too expensive then you might consider waiting until apple reveales their next iPhone because it is roumors that they will launch one cheap model and one more expensive.

How to stop on android pohne downloading pictures?

Q. I Need help I have an android phone xperia U and when i open galery i have there new and new pictures from games witch i dont download how to stop it ?

A. create a .nomedia file and place it in the folder of where these pics are coming from (look at the properties of the pics to find their location)

this is usually just a bad coded app since this can be put in there by the developer. so you could request this to the Dev.

Should I buy a graphing calculator or a phone?
Q. I'm buying some randoms and I'm considering either a graphing calculator or an android phone (Sony xperia ray. I already have a ti-83 plus graphing calculator and a android smartphone (galaxy nexus). Which one should I buy?

A. Whichever one you want.
The TI 84 is barely any different than the TI 83.
The TI 89 is not that better.
The nspires are great, if you how to use it.
The nspire cx is better, if you know how to use it.

And don't phones cost for service?

Get whatever you want or will use.

I would not use a phone because I have few friends, but I program my calculator all day long (maybe that's why I don't have friends)

Why are my contacts info and profile pic on my phone not the same as on Facebook?
Q. I have a Motoroal (Android) phone. When I go into my contacts, their info is not updated with what is currently on their Facebook page. Judging by some of the updates they made it quit working correctly around December 12, 2012.

A. Sync the contacts from Facebook to your phone. That will do.

What does it take to make android apps for the android market?

Q. I'm a 16 year old boy who is interested and inspired by another kid who is 14 and made an iphone app. So far he has made millions on his apps. I wanna create some apps and I figured the android market would probably be easiest way. What does it take to develop apps. Also would it help if I had an android phone?

A. Before going further, please note that you'll have to pay 25USD for a Google developer account in order to publish apps for the Android Market. For the iPhone AppStore (iTunes), it's even more expensive, 99$ a year minimum I think.

Now for your question:

The most easy way to develop an Android app is through the Google (Android) AppInventor since you virtually "draw" the application and graphically organize its actions and the dependencies between the screens. It's kind of like in Visual Basic if you know that already. Anyway, even if you have no experience, AppInventor is really a good way to start, it includes an emulator, and it's free of course. However, in order to package it in an .apk (to run it on a phone) or to publish on the market, it's not a straightforward step but it's possible anyway through PhoneGap for instance.

Further step would be using JavaScript programming through a platform like Appcelerator Titanium. They have developed a bridge between JavaScript and both Obj-C (iOS: iPhone/iPad) and Java (Android). So the good thing, is once you compile the app, it's usable for both iPhone/iPad and Android phones/tablets. Titanium includes emulators for all those platforms. In addition, it allows to package even for MacOS X (Apple computers) but you have to pay something for Apple, again.

Unless you already know and master Java, in that case go directly with Eclipse IDE and hard code.

Using my iPhone in the US?

Q. OK Hi everyone, I'm going to the US in a few months on a vacation and I can't wait :) Write now, I live in Canada and I have my iPhone 4 and Android phone on a Canada-based plan. I need to be able to use my phone in the US

My service provider here (Koodo) says that I can buy a 30-day roaming package for $20. But I need to buy 2 of those for both the iPhone and the Android phone. You can choose if you want the package to have unlimited text in the US or 50 minutes. (Cost $40 for 2 phones)

Or I could choose to get 2 Prepaid SIM cards for my phones. I can either choose from AT&T or
T-Mobile, but it should't be on a longterm contract! (Cost of the SIM cards themselves $? + Cost for service $?)

My last resort is using my old Verizon phone I had when I lived in the US a few years ago. It's CDMA based, so I'm not sure if it will work again, but I'd rather use my current phone.

PLEASE HELP ME WITH THESE QUESTIONS:

1) Should I get the plan that Koodo offers?
a) If yes, then the 50 min or unlimited texting?

2) If not, should I get 2 SIM cards instead?
a) If yes, should I go with AT&T or T-Mobile?
b) How much will the SIM card itself cost?
c) How much does the plan cost?
d) Is this plan long term or prepaid? (I'm looking for no contracts)

3) If not any one of the ones above, should I try using my CDMA Verizon phone?
a) If so, will it work on Verizon's network?
b) Are there any reconnection fees?

4) Any other suggestions?

GUYS I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR TIME + HELP
IT MEANS A LOT TO ME
SO THANK YOU SO MUCH!
AND THE BEST ANSWER WILL GET 10 POINTS ;)

A. 1. Get the Koodo plan. Our prepaid plans here in the US are expensive. Plus you also need to get your phones unlocked to be used on our carriers (your phones may be carrier locked to Koodo) and if they don't unlock it, you will have to pay a third party unlocker to do it. Most prepaid plans will give you a free SIM (AT&T) or really cheap (T-Mobile for a buck). T-Mobile will probably be the cheapest with the $30/month unlimited data and text, 100 minutes voice. You would have to order their SIM online and have it shipped to you (unsure if they will ship to Canada or you can get it shipped to where you are in the USA and pick it up then and activate it online).

Your Verizon will work but their prepaid plans are expensive, but offer great coverage and service.

Have you tried the Blackberry Curve 8530?
Q. I was thinking about getting the Blackberry Curve 8530, but wanted some opinions about it first. I havent had a Blackberry before, so please don't compare and I want to stay with Koodo, so its the only one thats available.

A. Is the Blackberry the only smartphone available through your carrier? Personally I was (and no longer) impressed with Blackberry and think for the money you can get better. I would go with Android OS if you can. Once I got a phone with Android OS I was done with Blackberry. Just my opinion.

Does anyone have some advice about koodo mobile?

Q. I am trying to find a good service provider for a phone and so far I want to get koodo. The whole tab thing is great and there are some good phones. So I was wondering does anyone have some good advice about koodo?

A. I am not sure if you are going to find anything better. They have been picked as the best service provider in the January edition of Consumer Report http://i42.tinypic.com/rvlglz.jpg Now that they have the iPhone 4S and the Blackberry Bold along with some very decent Android phones the line up is also much better. They also eliminated long distance from their plans so that gives you even more value.

Which cellphone company has the best rates?
Q. Hi, i was wondering what company should i go with? I live in Canada. I want one that has the best packages/plans. I plan on texting alot. Some examples are bell, rogers, koodo. Thanks, will award best answer.

A. go for rogers. they have the HTC DREAM. running android. best phone ever. wipes the floor with iphones butt.
