A. You can Go with Samsung Galaxy .....
one of the best android phone from Samsung in your range........

best android phone for hd gaming at a price less than rs 15000?
Q. I want to play games like asphalt 7, gta 3. Also i dont want micromax or karbbon as they are not durable.

A. Have a look at Samsung galaxy S Advance and Galaxy S Duos. Both are good in your price range but they only have 8GB inbuilt storage out of which only 4GB is available for use. As you know GTA 3 itself is 2 GB game. And you install 2 games and you are out of storage.
My advice go for Spice Stellar Pinnacle MI530 or MI535. both have 16GB inbuilt storage and 1GB Ram.

Changing from an Android phone to an iPhone 3GS?

Q. Okay, so At the moment, I have an Android phone (LG GW620) and I have recently been given a 3GS (Off a family member that upgraded).
The iPhone 3GS is on O2.
At the moment, I'm on a £10 a month contract for T-Mobile.
I get Unlimited Texts and Internet usage, and 100 minutes.

Could I unlock the iPhone and use the same Sim?
Or do I have to have a special iPhone tariff?

So would it be easier to just pay off my current contract, and get a SIM-ONLY iPhone Sim card?

A. I have recently transfered from android to iphone 3gs.. My mum gave me her 3GS from vodafone.. I am also on t-mobile! SO I KNOW WHAT TO DO! As we unlocked it as i am now a happy Iphone 3GS user on T-mobile with my android in the bin...

You need to call 02 and ask for them to unlock the Iphone.. you may need a valid 02 Sim in the iphone (i did for vodafone) You need to give the 02 advisor your IMEI code from your iphone... to get this goto phone - Keypad - type in *#06# it will give you the code...

It took vodafone about 2 days to unlock the iphone for me...
Once unlocked i had to restore my iphone with itunes...
Then you can just insert the T-mobile Pay as you go/OR T-mobile contract SIM card into your iphone and you can use the internet texts and calls as usual...

One more tip... Before i could use orange signal share i had to go to myt-mobile and just say that i had changed phones..

Hope this helps + enjoy your new phone!!

4.3 inch Android phone for T-Mobile?
Q. Hi, I have T-Mobile and I want to get a phone with at 5 MP camera and front facing camera. It also has to be an HTC 4.3 inch screen with android. This is one of the reasons why I hate T-Mobile. They don't have cool phones. I want something like the EVO but I don't want to switch to sprint. Is there a new phone coming out soon? I considered getting the HTC Desire HD but they don't sell in the US. Thanks.

A. As Philip said, the MyTouch 4G is an HTC. It has 3.8" display and back and front-facing cameras.

The HTC Pyramid is rumored to be headed for T-Mobile. In the usual HTC style, this phone will be both a beauty and a beast:

3> Camera
4> Music quality
5> Internet connectivity (should be able to check GMail, and browse with ease)

Any suggestions?

HTC Wildfire S would have you covered if you want the highest quality, the Sony Xperia X8 has the best camera, and the ZTE Blade has the largest screen for this price range.

I want to buy an android phone under 12000 INR?

Q. My requirements are external slide qwerty keypad, large screen and android 2.3 if possible.

A. http://hubpages.com/hub/Budget-Smartphone-Buying-Guide

Either the Sony Xperia X8 or the Samsung Galaxy 3 should do pretty well, I think. ZTE Blade is great too, and much cheaper at 8500 INR.

which is the best android qwerty mobile?
Q. I want to buy a new android qwerty phone .budget 10000-12000.it should be with qwerty keypad and android. Whats ur openion about htc cha cha and htc status.what are the other qwerty anroid from htc.my first preferenc is htc.

A. Ok. HTC ChaCha and Status are bad phones. I don't even know what carrier your on, or if you want a GSM phone. Anyways, a G2( HTC Desire Z elsewhere) is an outdated phone, but has a good keyboard. HTC Desire HD, HTc Sensation, HTC Amaze are good phones also, but no keyboard. HTC MyTouch 4G Slide(i don't know the name for non-us carriers) is the most recent keyboard phone htc has had. They sorta quit keyboards.

http://www.mymobilepack.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/sony_ericsson_xperia_x10_mini_pro_x10_mini-540x332.jpg

thanks.

A. Yea, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro is an awesome Android phone and it's one of the very few Androids to have physical keypad. It has great display and great camera and the phone is good too. I would definitely go for it. You can also check HTC Wildfire / Nexus One / Samsung Galaxy S / Dell Streak / HTC Desire but they lack physical keypad. Motorola Milestone has keypad though but it's little outdated. Anyways, if you need any Android phone cheaper, you can mail me to manchurianp@yahoo.com

Is there a 3DS emulator for android phones?

Q. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S3 and really want to download a 3DS emulator so I can play Pokemon Y on my phone. Please help me...

Do you by any chance know where to download a Pokemon Y rom? If so please give me the link.

Thanks

A. There is no 3DS emulator for pc yet...
and even if there was, your phone couldnt even get 50% speed on it, since it would likely have the requirements of like a gamecube emulator (a 3.0ghz+ cpu which no phone/tablet in the world has)

Emulators for Android Phones?
Q. My new Samsung Continuum is coming in the mail soon, and I was wondering how much the emulators cost... also, which ones can you buy? SNES? N64? Lastly, how do the emulated games look and is the selection of games very big? Thanks for answering!

A. Well there's a free and paid version for each emulator. PSX, NES, etc. The only difference is there is no save feature in free version. Paid versions are around $5 I believe.

Ram space on Android phone?

Q. So, I've been thinking about buying the LG Optimus 3D and I noticed that the phone has 512 ram and dual core 1ghz.

I understand that the ghz means the speed of the cores but what does the ram do? Most of the android phone has 1gb ram so im wondering if this 512mb ram would cause any problem ?

A. You're mistaken in that aspect. Most phones nowadays have 512mb of ram. Your phone will be fine. Some phones either have 512mb of ram or 768mb of ram. The only phone I know so far that actually has 1gb of ram is the htc evo 3d.

What ram does is determine how many apps your phone can run before it starts lagging from too many apps running in the background.

What Mobile Phone would you reccomend for me?
Q. I want it with WIFI, qwerty keyboard and touch, possibly not too expensive

A. One word ANDROID. Anyone who says don't go android is insane. Also seeing on how you want a cheep phone. Androids are less expensive, the most phones and the come in a verity of QWERTY and touch screen. Not only that some even have overlays which allow ultimate social networking. Like Motoblur, HTC sense, or Timescape of Sony.

Not only that it has tons of apps approx 8000 being added every month and 80% of the apps are free of charge rather then Apple where only 40% are free.

These phones also have better possessors and come in more of a Verity of phones, where blackberry and iphone are, well they are just blackberry and iphone they don't change that often.

ok so ill give u a cheep phone on every carrier, cuz you never said which one you are on
AT&T- Moto BACKFLIP----- Verizon- Moto Devour ------Sprint- Samsung Intercept-------- T Mobile- Moto Cliq. My favorites would be Moto Droid and droid 2 on verizon the are more price but o so worth it :) anyways hope i helped Oh and all the moto phones i said have MOTOBLUR. the droids dont tho sadly :(

Should I get an android phone or wait for the iPhone 4?

Q. I have an upgrade with Verizon right now, and I am so geared up to get an iPhone, however, I know the many advantages of the Android OS. I really like it, and the customization features, but I have an iPod touch 1st gen and I love it, so I really don;t know if I should wait and get the iPhone, or just get a Droid phone or samsung Galaxy phone.

A. I would go with any Android phone over the iPhone. I have the Samsung Fascinate for Verizon and I love it. It is an all touch screen keyboard with Swype. I actually use the standard Android keyboard and it's spaced out and easy to use. If you're looking for a physical keyboard, then I would get the Droid 2 because it is still a great Android phone but it has that physical keyboard. The added keyboard adds some extra bulk too though so keep that in mind. As far as the Application Stores goes, I would say the Apple market is actually better because they pre-screen all of their apps before they put them in the app store and make sure they don't have any bugs while the Android app store can pretty much have any app on it. They do mostly have the main apps, and I haven't really found any bugs in any of my apps on my Android so I wouldn't really worry about that. So overall, I would go with an Android and there are so many to choose from so you can't really go wrong!

What are some good Android Phones?

A. Well there aren't many good GSM android phones yet. Samsung is in the process of releasing their Galaxy S phones right now. They have done some cool customizations. They are also running a great processor and best yet they have gsm versions. I think thats the best youll find out thats android and gsm.

Can any android phone be updated to any android firmware?
Q. I'm thinking about getting a droid phone from cricket. Its on 2.1 and I was wondering could I find a newer firmware online and update it that way.Don't all android phones go threw the same firmware? The reason I'm asking this because, cricket hasn't came out with the update yet and I want it to updated for more fun such as multi touch?

A. The Android software on those phones are almost the same (in terms of running apps or functionality), but you cannot just update an android phone to any firmwire (like flashing a Droid X with HTC firmware), because there are factors, like hardware. Each firmware is designed to work on the phone it is supposed to work in so there are as fewer problems as possible. However, because of this, it can take a long time sometimes to get an official firmware out to the users, from the time Google releases a new Android version.

There are unofficial ways, however. You could root your phone and get modded 'newer' software for your phone. These are usually compiled by other android users. BUT, beware that rooting your phone and installing non-approved firmware could void its warranty and your carrier may end up canceling your service.

iPhone vs Android quick help?

Q. I bought an iPhone early December of 2011. First iPhone i've ever had, I always went to androids for upgrades or something like that. I have my old HTC Evo 4g i had before i bought an iphone, recently I have been messing around with the evo and noticed a few things.. like how the screen/phone is bigger, you can do more custom things with the android. i'm stuck because i don't know if i should go back to the evo because i feel like i miss it, and i've heard like your personallity either an "apple or android" person, and i'm in between. (I have sprint too) If i swap them will it change anything on the plan? Would it charge if i went to it then in a few days go back? Is it bad that i miss my android? i'm more of like an electronic person, i don't know how to explain it (lol). What do you think is better? Android or iPhone? I guess my main question is if I should go back to it and if it will change anything on my plan. I already have the extra 10$ a month for data because I guess all smartphones need it.

A. Android all the way.
Unless you want Apple to dictate what you can and cant do on the phone and charge you extra for the privilege.
Android has flash player, more free apps, more developers, more media support, more customization, more freedom and defiantly better internet experience.
If you have taken an upgrade, your plan wont change unless you send the phone back in the returns period.

PS. Apple is a brand. Most people choose apple because of the name. People who research what they are looking for tend to pick Android.

cell phone tracker app?
Q.

A. if you have Android, get Lookout mobile Security. It gives you great options if your phone is ever lost or stolen. You can lock the phone, make it scream, and pinpoint it's position within a few meters anywhere in the world. Verizon smartphone without data plan?

Q. 2012 verizon

preferably android smartphones that don't require data plans

A. verizon requires any new phone/plan to have a data plan
you now need a "shared" data plan for all your devices
smartphones are $40 a month, and the data plan required vary in price depending how much you want.

if you don't want a data plan, you can get a Samsung Galaxy Player, or you can get a variety of tablets.

Should I wait for upcoming 2012 Verizon smartphones?
Q. My upgrade is mid-January 2012 and I was wondering should I wait a bit for a better phone? I was thinking of getting the Droid RAZR but 2012 phones might be better so I'm not sure.

A. you should either get the RAZR or Rezound or Galaxy Nexus now... or wait till CES 2012 in January, the mobile tech show in Las Vegas where they will highlight the newer phones... I do know that quad core phones with tegra 3 and klor-el will be highlighted... as well as other phones with Android ICS 4.0 preinstalled

Best price/quality USED android phone to buy?

Q. Hi, I have a question for the tech geeks with a twist.

I own an iphone 2g, 2nd week of release. The old bastard finally died out on me. I would like to get an android phone, but I don't want the latest and newest.

In order of importance to me are:
1)PRICE under 165 euros
2)Battery life and survivability (metal casing is a plus)
3)customizability of software(Afaik all of them can be customized)
4)Design (as long as it's not fugly).

Another caveat: I need to buy this either from www.amazon.de or from ebay.de as I am a german citizen. So most points to people who give me direct links from those websites!

A. Exclusive to AT&T, the 3G-enabled, Android-powered HTC Status is the first phone in the U.S. with a dedicated Facebook share button, which makes sharing content on Facebook quick and simple. Update your status, post to a friend's wall, post a photo or video, and share a web site or information on the song you are listening to--all with a click of a button. It is also context aware and lights up when there is an activity to share.

iPHONE or Android phone?
Q. I've had a blackberry for years but i want to purchase either an iphone or android. Don't know too much about either phone...which one is better? I currently have tmobile so i would have to go to another phone plan if i got the iphone. thanks!

A. honest comparison.
get an Android phone. There are many brands and models that offer better quality screen, faster CPUs and better cameras then iPhone.
With Andrid phone you can take out your battery and replace it in case it dies. With iPhone you can't because it's inside totally locked inside so you've to pay $50 for someone to fix it for you.
many Android phones have multiple HARD BUTTONS which makes navigating much easier and faster.
Android phones are cheaper due to competition !
Apple is the only company who makes iPhone that's why they sell it for whatever price they want.
Android phones are easier to unlock so you can use it with different carriers.
iPhone has better graphics chip then some Android phones so pick your phone wisely.iPhone has absolutely no lag when playing Angry birds but a very cheap Android phone(like my LG Optimus) will play it in "slow motion" lol
Watch review video on YouTube before buying a phone.
Android is the way to go.
Good luck.
P.S.
I forgot 1 very important thing.
iPhones don't have "widgets" but Android phones do. Widget is the equivalent of "shortcut" in computers. Widgets are very useful and make user experience much better.THis is why I think Android is easier to use then iPhone.
The same about tablet PCs.

what is the best android phone and why?

Q. i was thinking of getting an android phone and i was wondering what phone and why i should get it

A. Motorola DROID X Android Phone (Verizon Wireless)
A worthy successor to the original Droid, the Android-powered Droid X by Motorola for Verizon Wireless is a pocket-sized home theater with a massive 4.3-inch high-resolution display, HDMI high-definition output with optional cable, and 720p HD video recording capabilities. And the 1 GHz processor provides excellent response for game play, such as the preloaded EA Need for Speed Shift.

What sort of Android phone is best?
Q. I have pretty much narrowed my phone choices down to the Droid X, Droid 2 Global, and LG Vortex. I like the Droid X because of its size and overall awesome, but the LG Vortex is smaller, which has its advantages, and the Droid 2 Global. What are the advantages of the sizes and the physical keyboard?

New Android Phones ?!?

Q. There are a bunch of android phones coming out? I was planning on getting a blackberry curve on the 17th untill i found out the droid phones are coming out for AT&T. Can somebody tell me about them and are they better than blackberrys?

A. the latest android phone is the nexus one... it runs anderoid 2.1 and just came out this week...

it is about $175 (?) if you buy one that is subsidized by tmobile with a contract... or you can buy an unlocked one from google for $500+ but the unlocked one's 3G operates at different RF then ATT, so it would only get 2G EDGE speeds if used with ATT...

have not heard about a GSM version of the motorola droid...

att is going to SUPPORT anderoid... i have not heard any anderoid phones that are supposed to come out for ATT yet....

Android phone or iPhone?
Q. I cant design which one to get and the date is approaching. HELP!
cant decide*

A. Android is much better for many reasons...

1: Browsing. Let me first say I do like the Safari browser on the iPhone. Its fast, its reliable, its stable. But flexible? Flash? Monopolistic? Yes Safari is the only browser for the iPhone, and that browser still does not do Flash. However, the Android browser is one of the best browsers on the mobile market. On my HTC Hero, I have Opera Mini, Dolphin, and the default Browser. I havent used Opera Mini since I used it a couple of times upon installation. Dolphin is outstanding, with its use of Tabs and Gestures. But the default Android browser just cant be beat. It usually loads pages faster than Safari, has Flash support, and simply does everything a browser should do.

2: Desktop. Instead of just having icons littering your phones desktop (like the iPhone), the Android phone adds widgets to the desktop. These widgets tend to have an actual purpose. For example:

The Twitter Widget allows you to update your Twitter status from your mobile desktop.
The People Widget allows you to enable different actions for different contacts right from your desktop (say you want to call your wife with a single click and text your child from a single click).
The Messages Widget allows you to instantly see your email from the desktop.
The Android desktop is on a completely different level from the iPhone desktop. To compare them is actually unfair. Apples to clairs as it were.

3: Connectivity. On one of the pages of my Hero desktop, I have four buttons:

Turn on/off bluetooth
Turn on/off Wifi
Turn on/off Mobile Network
Turn on/off GPS
These buttons let you instantly switch on or off the various connectivity options, which will go a long way toward conserving battery life. There is also an app in the Market called Y5, which will turn off Wi-Fi automatically when no known wireless network is available. To do any of this on the iPhone, you have to go into the Settings screen and navigate your way around the various options.

4: PC connection. Unlike the iPhone, you dont need to have iTunes to manage your phone. Now, I say this with a bit of a chewed-up tongue because Android cant sync with the Linux desktop yet. Thats okay for now. But Android can mount the SD card so that it is usable (via drag and drop) by any operating system. On this you can add music and files, which will then be usable on the phone. Simple

5: Multi-notification. One of the issues Ive always had with the iPhone is its notification system. Basically, it depends upon a single system that not all applications have access too. For instance, if you are a Twitterer, you can find out if you have updates only by opening the Twitter app on the iPhone. With Android, the apps have access to the notification system and can all report. The notification bar on the Android phone can alert you to new voice messages, email messages, Facebook notifications, new Gmail, new text messages, and much more. If an app has a notification, it can let you know quickly, and in the background.

6: Endless. personalizationI hesitate to place this on the list because so many readers seem to think user-configuration is worthless. Its not. The Android phone allows users to configure their mobile to look and behave exactly how they want it. If youre a social network power user, you can have a screen for Facebook, one for Twitter, one for texting, and one for Flickr. Or if you are a business user, you can have a screen for contacts, for your calendar, for gmail, for email, for RSS, and more. Not only can you configure the desktop the way you want, you can configure the behavior of your phone. Set up default actions for different contacts even add an entirely different desktop, should you want. The possibilities are endless with the Android phone. With the iPhone, youre pretty much limited to what Apple says.

7: Market. Yes, Apple has an app for that. But so does Android. And chances are, the Android app is free and works as well (or better) than the iPhone app. And, believe it or not, there are thousands of apps in the Android Market. Apple does not (at least yet) have a patent on an application for just about everything. Give it time though. And installing applications on your Android phone is actually easier than it is on the iPhone. For free applications, you dont have to worry about entering a password every time you try to install anything. And you do not have to link to Apples iTunes store to purchase applications from the Android Market. For those apps that have a price, you enter your information on the Google Market one time and youre done.

8: Google integration. This one is almost not fair, since Android was built with the intention of integrating with Google. But wow does it integrate well. Want to search Google? Simply click the search button, enter your search string, and youre off and running. Did I mention Google Voice? Yes, the Android has an app for that.

9: Open Source. W

What is an android phone?

Q. I am looking into buying the motorola droid and I keep hearing how it is verizon's first android phone. I want to know what exactly is an android phone.

A. An Android phone is a phone the runs Google's Android OS. Android is on open source phone OS developed by Google. You can find out more about the OS at http://www.android.com and you can find out about the Droid phone at http://www.vzw.com/droid.

Help! Getting new Android phone?..?
Q. My mobile phone is turning old and Im deciding to get new Android phone.
I dont really know how to find them since android is the sofware in different phone model.
I want to get a phone which have:

-Android Software
-smartphone(touch screen)
-Longer battery life
-able to update to latest Android version

You can list more than one if they share in common with these features above.

Thanks! :-))

A. You want the perfect phone. Good luck as there is no perfect phone. You would be best to look for right for you. I will address all of your needs, and help you make the right decision for you though, and that is what you would need. As for experience, I am on my second Android phone, and while I would like to have all of that above, there is no such phone.

Android software is the OS, not the app. It is like Windows, or Mac OS. It is what tells your phone how to behave when something is done. All cell phones have an OS, just the basic or feature phones typcially have one tailored for the actual phone. This is impossible in smart phones as they are designed to work equally on multiple devices. The exception is iOS which the OS manufacturer and hardware manufacturer are the same, and there are only 2 lines (recent) which the only difference is ROM. Just by selecting an Android, you would have a smart phone. Also, all Android phones are touch screens. The only ones you would see that won't be assured with a touch screen is RIM OS (Blackberry). And unless you go with a budget provider, you would get a capacitive touch screen which will require that you use your fingers (rather than a stylus option), but this is more consumer friendly. I have yet to see an Android phone without a capacitive (although some PDAs/PMPs will have resistive).

Battery life is a hit or miss. I seen really low end phones that can go a day with average use, but you won't want the low end. A top of the line phone however will decrease the battery life of the phone. Just like a PC, if you have a high end notebook, you would have less battery life. If you are using your notebook to watch a 1080p movie, you would use more battery than if you were using a text editor. This is a fact of life, and there is no phone out there that can promise to be all mighty, and give more than 1 day battery. I have a dual core 1Ghz phone, and I get about 10 - 12 hours with basic use before I need to plug in, or change the battery.

Now, the updates. You want assured updates at least for a year or two, get a Nexus (most recent one) phone. You will not limit yourself to Sprint or T-Mobile. The reason for this is the Nexus phone is the platform phone on the Android OS, and is used to assure compliance with the latest version. This means that Google develops the new version, and tests it on Nexus. If everything works as expected, then they push it unmodified to all of the Nexus lines. Older versions will have to be tested, and could take a couple of weeks. Also, as the OS is developed, it demands more. Just as you can install Windows 7 on a 150Mhz PC, you would find that the CPU, Ram, and ROM (storage) will limit the ability to update.

So, what should you do? Well, here is my advise. Don't concentrate entirely on your proposed requisites. Find out what you want to do with your phone, and work from there. If you want to play games, or watch stutter free videos, you would want a faster phone, but you would have to sacrifice battery. If you are doing basic things, you may not need a dual core phone for example, and therefore can look to a better battery life. As for updates, unlike the scenario above, all new versions have to go to the device manufacturer - tested on your device, and then sent with any adjustments to the kernals to the carriers. The carrier will have to test it on their network, and decide if they want to push it to your phone. This is just the way things are with open platforms. Google is trying to fix that, but it may only apply to newer devices.

Look for a 1Ghz phone. You would want 512MB of memory, and 1GB of ROM. I would recommend to have an micro-SD card slot, and if not - get at least 16GB of ROM. You would want a 3.8" screen or better. Get a phone with Stock Android (without MotoBlur, or HTC Sense). You would have a better chance of OS updates that way. Stock Android is more generic looking, but it would suffice. Remove apps you would not need. If you installed an app, and find it isn't useful, removing it would reserve your ROM, and take off any startup processes the app may have. As for OS version, look for Android 2.2 or better (2011-June-12). This is newest of the standard phone shipments with 2.3 so far only on a small population. The specs noted above will also handle 2.3 for if/when it comes to your device.

As for carriers, almost all carriers have an Android phone. All of the major carriers (AT&T/Sprint/T-Mobile/Verizon) have phones that meet my recommended minimum. Cricket has no worthwhile phone. Virgin has low end phones, and don't expect 2.3 on those ones. The Galaxy Prevail on Boost is their best Android phone - however with a 3.2" screen, you may find yourself lacking if you want to watch videos or play games. It is also lacking in RAM and ROM (384/512 MB).

Finding unlocked Android phones under $100?

Q. The current phone I have is from sprint and by the time my prepaid card runs out, I'll probably need a new phone. This phone was only $60, it's a Samsung (dunno what it is EXACTLY). It has a qwerty keyboard, touchscreen, wifi, & 3.5 inch screen. It's an android 2.3. I just want a phone with wifi, a qwerty keyboard (if possible), & a decent size screen. I don't exactly have a big budget either, so preferably I want an android phone around under $100 to $140 at the most.

Can you recommend an Android phone with a keyboard?
Q. I currently have a Motorola Dext (EU version of Motorola Cliq) which I dearly love. But it is starting to show it's age & Motorola refuse to upgrade these past Android 1.5. I know these can be cracked & updated but I couldn't make it work & it's really not worth paying someone to crack such an old phone.

What I Love: Android, large screen, slide out keyboard.
What I hate: Crap battery life, No updates & therefore poor app compatibility

What I would really like to replace it with is more up to date version of the same thing, i.e. another slide out keyboard design, but there are so few on the market. Can people recommend some phones for me to look at.

A. The Samsung Galaxy Smart has a slideout qwerty, as does the HTC Shift something or other... these are both really reliable and advanced smartphones.
The thing with updates is that no phone is going to CONTINUE getting updates, because at some point any phone will be outdated. For example, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is IT right now, so of course it's getting updates... but in a year, that phone will be really old, and might not be getting new Android updates anymore. So just choose a phone you're happy with, and don't worry too much about the updating feature.
One thing, though... I understand why a lot of people want physical qwerty keyboards, but I'd have to say I've converted from that, thanks to the text input method called Swype. Read about it here: http://howdoyouandroid.com/2012/11/how-do-you-use-swype-keyboard.html It's SO much easier than any of those lame virtual keyboards, and actually is pretty close to as fast as typing on a computer keyboard, even if you're up there around 120 wpm.
Last point, about batteries... tbh, smartphones have pretty lame battery life right now. But I've totally overcome that problem, by following this method: http://howdoyouandroid.com/2012/11/how-do-you-deal-with-battery-that.html
Feel free to comment there, if you have any more Android questions!
