A. Samsung Epic 4G Android Phone (Sprint)
The perfect all-in-one device for staying connected, getting work done, and enjoying the latest in entertainment while on-the-go, the Samsung Epic 4G runs on Sprint's new and expanding 4G network, offering simultaneous voice and data connectivity and download speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G. Additionally, the phone can still connect to 3G data services in areas not currently served by Sprint's 4G network

please help me i will give u 10 points...?

Q. I am planning to purchase a new cell phone...
Please tell me which brand is best and these features i need in them music player i.e mp3,gprs,camera picture quality should be good enough, memory should be more and good looking too...
Please suggest me more models and price range should be within 15000 rupees (Indian currency)...

A. Honestly, If you're looking for music, navigation, and a great camera I would go for the Google Nexus One. It sells for $179.00 with a T-Mobile Contract (2yrs) or Unlocked for $529.00, which blows your budget. On the other hand, you can get your self an iPhone 3G thats not been updated to 3.1.3 and JailBreak it so you can take it where ever and download what ever you want.

A phone thats running Android OS is honestly a good way to go, they resell in the market used for a fairly good price. But this all makes good sense "if" the phone you choose works with the provider your planning to use it with.

If GPRS is one of your main concerns, consider this, the MyTouch 3G and the Nexus One have a AGPS antenna installed in the phone, and can simultaneously use both or one. Plus, well, Google Maps on Android have voice turn by turn direction for free.

Those are just my three phones that I would consider for it. There are plenty of phones out in the market that do all that, there are just some that do it better.
Check out HTC & BlackBerry (RIM)

Good Luck!

HTC Desire S or Sony Ericcson Xperia ARC?

Q. Which is the better phone HTC Desire S or Sony Ericcson Xperia ARC?
Which have the better features? And if you have one of these phones please give a review
Thankss :)x

A. Both phones share a lot in common as both run on the latest android 2.3 (gingerbread) os using 1Ghz processors. The Xperia sports a larger screen size 4.2" to 3.7" but has a lower ram 512mb vs 768mb.

One distinct advantage of the Arc is its 8 mp camera that produces good pictures even in low light condition. So if image quality and large screen size is important to you go with the Xperia Arc if these factors are not deal breakers for you then can't go wrong with either phone.

Is the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S a good phone?
Q. I am looking for a android phone that is fast and cheap then a iphone then i saw the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S it has a 1.4 ghz but is it worth it money because if i lag when i put lots of apps it won't be good to use then and if this phone is not good what is a another Android phone that is around $700 and $800 in Australia :)

A. Hi Extreme,
Please take a look at the link below to see the different features and specs of the Xperia arc:

4g network question HELP?

Q. Okay well I'm with sprint right now and gettin a upgrade I'm either getting a black berry iphone 4 or evo 4g
I don't think we have 4g towers up yet around were I live and I'm wondering will I be able to text and make phone calls even though I don't have 4g when I'm using a 4g phone????
Soo will I be able to use my 4g phone wen the towers arnt up yet????????

A. Yes all 4g phones have the ability to switch to 3g on sprint. But a 4g phone in a non-4g area will lose battery life quickly. As for your phone, get the iphone! Blackberry has speculated that it will put out brand new set of phones in 2012 that will make any 2011 models usless, android (espically evo4g) pops up with a newer better phone every week which means yOu will not be able to enjoy your brand new phone very long. And unlike those phones iphone has a new model every year which means you can enjoy it, ios 5 is great!i have it, they hold their value like no other phone (on ebay the iphone 3gs is worth almost as much as the new htc thunderbolt), they have great batteries and they turn heads! Apple also has the greatest customer service in the world

So what are some good phone is the market right now? Sprint phones please.
Thanks for any help.

A. Try the Samsung Galaxy S2 for Sprint (Epic 4G Touch) Android phone, it came with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display, 8-megapixel rear camera, HD 1080p video capture, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, etc. You can read more specs & reviews and buy a used or new for cheap price at these sites.

iPhone or Android phone?

Q. Okay, so it is time for an upgrade...and this time I am finally going to get soem sort of smart phone with at&t, Thing is, I don't know whether I should get an iphone or an android. I was first planning on getting an iphone, but then I realized that I already have the newest update of the ipod touch, which is practically the same thing without the phone...so it is like getting the same thing. And if I got an iphone, I willl not be putting music on it because I will still be using my ipod. So, is it worth it?
So, then I started looking at android phones, and I noticed they were a lot more customizable which is really nice, but are the phones really reliable and a good quality and will last very long??
So, basically.....what do you think....iphone or android??
thanks :)

A. any top android phone,

http://www.androidcentral.com/best-android-phones-june-2011

I prefer android over apple for the reason that its open-source, that means that the majority of the apps are free, and you get more revolutionary and cutting edge apps.
the android market already has 250000 apps- closing in on apple 500000, some say it will surpass it before the year is over. and only the oldest of android phones cant use the latest apps, like 2008, and earlier (those are also the one that freeze sometimes, not the new ones) and whose to say the iPhone doesn't freeze either?

Security
both Iphone and android offer equal security, though they have different means of doing it.
iphone, verifies all the apps so you cant get a virus through an app, but the rest of the phone is semi-vulnerable.
Android does not check the apps, but the apps are run in a isolated way, as to not affect the system in event of a virus.
so both phones are equally prone to viruses (and if this a big deal for you, android has a antivirus app, which iphone does not)

other reasons for android
turn-by-turn GPS
better and larger screen
no need to connect to computer to sync
heres a big one, add a sd card
better calls
more customizable
more powerful hardware
flash support, watch ALL the online videos

Also apple never invents anything, all they do is steal old technology, give it a fresh coat of paint and mass advertise it as magical and innovating, thus fooling the mass of the population into believing that apple offers cutting edge technology, that in fact has been around for quite a few years.

Is there an Android phone with a hardware keyboard?
Q. I'm getting continually more frustrated with my Blackberry Curve. It works fine, for the most part, but I'm realizing how truly far behind Blackberry is. Then I was on the receiving end of the recent outage and I think that's the final straw for me. I've stubbornly resisted any touch screen, mainly because I don't want to give up a hardware keyboard. Its really important to me. Are there any Android phones that are old-school enough to still have one?
I should also mention I'm on Verizon.

A. Yeah the Motorola Droid 1,2 and 3 have a slide out keyboard and a touchscreen (hardware keyboards are so much nicer than touchscreen keyboards, however the touchscreen is always nice). These phone are on the Verizon network which is an awesome provider

What is second hand rate of nokia n95 8gb in mumbai?

Q.

A. Hi

You should get it around for Rs 7-8k

But i doubt if we still get n95, its such a old phone.

It is very old, doesn't have good O.S ( loaded with old version of Symbian ) + second hand than it should not cost more.

However i would suggest get some new phone like HTC Wildfire with Android.

Q. 1a. Do you believe they are necessary?
1b. Do you believe they actually protect you?

2a. If yes, which app would you recommend?
2b. Why?

In my opinion, there really isn't a reason for anyone to trust the comments on Google Play. Most of the 4-5 Star Ratings look very generic, am I right?
For all we know, those comments were spammed by the company themselves.
Which is why I am asking on websites like Yahoo! Answers.

Note: Cite your Sources if possible! It will be much appreciated!

A. I have an HTC Inspire 4g with the Android 2.3 OS, and I have reviewed many apps before that I use and they were posted, but I don't do spam, myself, or work for any developers. As for the security apps, yes, my experiences tell me they work. And there are ways to test them. I have done so with several. I have AVAST Mobile now. I've used several other Android anti virus and security softwares, but right now I think Avast has it. Consider your home PC or laptop...Why have an anti virus and other security softwares installed? And what's the difference in a tablet, pc, or laptop or cell phone going onto the internet? That's where malware, virus, trojans, worms all come from right? out there? Why take a chance when they've already proven there are things affecting cell phones, wireless printers, keyloggers hacking wireless keyboards, hackers threatening government websites? That's what they do. With each step up of technology, someone tries to bring it down. And they usually succeed somewhere and sometime. So think about that. Just my opinion, but I do have friends who asked the same questions. After a few experiences with questionable activities occurring on their cell, they have security now, and stand by it. I would recommend "Avast Mobile" at this point. "Lookout" is another I like, but it's limited coverage for free, otherwise like with PC's and laptops, it will cost you. "AVG" mobile is one I tried. Not too sure. It passed my tests, but I found a couple negative reviews of some malware passing through. Go onto Google Play, search those out, and trust me, read the information on it, the reviews and consider what you want out of a security app. Avast IS free for now, so I suggest you try it before it goes "rogue" and charges. It's good complete security coverage, where others aren't, and works even if you have a rooted device. Also, on the google play, after you install the app, you can search for "antivirus test"...there's an app that will trigger your security app to warning if it's tightly secure, or do nothing if the test app slips through. It will tell you results and offer to uninstall. Safe to use. There's a few to try or choose. Good luck

Why are Finnish people so AWESOME and SMArt?

Q. I mean ... Linus Torvalds Created Linux which mac and Android runs off off.

Nokia made in Finland is kick ass despite of the fabric poor android OS dominance just last Q3 in 2012.

The Black Box and sauna?

If it was not for Linux alot of programs would have nnot been coded. Nokia would have never revolutionized the mobile industry..

Thus anndroid would not be here ..

Not to mention these kick butt Metal bands I hear from there .. that guy Alexi Laiho his guitaring is amazing and they act like regular people not snobby like America's Lars..

They with only 350.000 troops vs about 950.000 troops took down russia lol in winter war i mean are these guys that one country that is THE notable kick ass one but just not popular like in the STATES.
Nokia's just about dead.

The black box and sauna are not Finnish FAR FROM DEAD EVEN IF THEY WERE THEIR 20 YR REIGN IS STIL BETTER THAN THIS NEW BULLSHIT .

I haven't heard of any of those weird sounding bands OF COURSE YOU SOUND LIKE YOUR FROM AMERICA LIKE ME LOL DUMB ASS.

Russia's army is overrated from movies NAW NOT AT ALL OUR SHIT WAS OVERRATED! VEITNAM BITCH

In conclusion, Finland sucks. NOT BY FAR ITS OKAY LOL.
Black box and sauna are made in finland lol. dumbass
LOL that's why i like doing this Yaho answers! like the Awesome aussie ! Love you guys!

True but just like thanks to michael jackson and elvis many stars were born. hence nokia..

And the Aussie guy did it in the 50's but the fin did it earlier as i have seen on many other sources! Look here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_recorder and then go straight to HISTORY.

Thanks alot though mate your smart!

A. It probably has a lot to do with their education system. Finnish children don't do their first year of school until they are seven years old. By this time they have a lot more maturity to deal with being away from home all day and handling the classroom situation. Statistically they have some of the highest achieving students in the world.

There are a few things I need to correct people on though:

* Linux is a clone of Unix. The Mac OS X family tree goes back first to NeXTstep and then to BSD, which is UNIX. Linux has had no influence on the development of OS X. Linux is different enough from UNIX that it cannot legally be called by that name.
* Android would not exist had Eric Schmidt, one of the heads of Google, not had first hand access to Apple's secret iPhone project while it was still in development because he was on the board of directors. Before this the Google Nexus phone looked just like a Blackberry.
* The Black Box flight recorder was invented in Australia.

edit: going by the wikipedia article on black box flight recorders you posted, the French have an earlier claim to its invention than the Fins. The type in use on all commercial aircraft today is the Australian one.

Is there a 3DS emulator for android phones?

Q. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S3 and really want to download a 3DS emulator so I can play Pokemon Y on my phone. Please help me...

Do you by any chance know where to download a Pokemon Y rom? If so please give me the link.

Thanks

A. There is no 3DS emulator for pc yet...
and even if there was, your phone couldnt even get 50% speed on it, since it would likely have the requirements of like a gamecube emulator (a 3.0ghz+ cpu which no phone/tablet in the world has)

Emulators for Android Phones?
Q. My new Samsung Continuum is coming in the mail soon, and I was wondering how much the emulators cost... also, which ones can you buy? SNES? N64? Lastly, how do the emulated games look and is the selection of games very big? Thanks for answering!

A. Well there's a free and paid version for each emulator. PSX, NES, etc. The only difference is there is no save feature in free version. Paid versions are around $5 I believe.
