Whats the best prepaid android phone?

Q. Ok, so i need a prepaid android phone with a plan thats 50 dollars or less with unlimited web and text. But most importantly it has to have a really really good battery life!

A. Probably the best prepaid plan for unlimited web and messaging is the Virgin Mobile Beyond Talk plan that gives you 300 anytime minutes per month, along with unlimited web and messaging. It costs me $25.00 a month plus tax and fees. Here in the U.S., that comes out to $27.19 a month. There is no contract. This is the plan I have.
The best Android phone they have on the plan is, in my opinion, the LG Optimus V. This is the phone I have. They also have a new phone available called the Motorola Triumph that looks nice. Of course, you have to buy the phone outright. The LG Optimus V is $149.99 + tax; the new Motorola Triumph is $299.99 + tax.
Keep in mind that these phones are 3G only (are not 4G enabled), and only work on Sprint's 3G network. There is no roaming on other carrier's networks. So as long as you are within range of a Sprint tower, you are OK.
As far as battery life goes, no Android smart phone has "really really good battery life." The display screen takes a lot of power, as does the transmit function when you are making calls, sending emails and messages, or surfing the web. Even playing games uses a lot of battery power for the display.
To put it in perspective, keep in mind that these smart phones are essentially micro-computers with cell phone functions. How long can you reasonably expect a small 1300 to 1500 mAh battery to last?
Depending on your phone settings, screen brightness level, and how much you use the phone, you should be able to get 6 to 12 hours of "normal" usage with the phone with a fully charged battery. If the phone is just 'on' (standby mode) with the screen darkened, you might get upward of 24 to 48 hours of standby time.
Most people I know who own a smart phone, including myself, charge it every evening so that it is fully charged in the morning when they go to work or whatever. It's also a very good idea to have a charger available wherever you are, so that you can plug in the phone to charge it if the battery runs low.
The other option is to have a spare battery, or buy an external phone charger that has a built-in battery.
Some folks opt to buy an extended life battery. This usually means that you also have to change the rear cover of the phone, because the extended life battery is physically thicker than the standard battery, so the original cover will not fit with the extended life battery.

Hope this info helps you out.

What are good Android phones for Verizon?
Q. I'm looking to sell my iPhone for Verizon and get an Android phone because I'm getting really bored with iOS, what're some good Android phones? Not cheap ones either, I want a GOOD, functional one with good battery life, I use my phone ALL DAY and I don't want an Android phone with TONS of glitches. I'll pay up to 300$ for it, maybe 50-100$ more if it's worth it. I use my phone a lot for Social networking also.
Please help, this is greatly appreciated(:

A. Verizon Motorola Droid A855 Android Cell Phone is notable for its large, high-res touch display and thin body with slide-out keyboard. Other key features include GPS navigation with full turn-by-turn directions, 5-megapixel auto-focus camera with video capture, EVDO Rev. A data, WiFi, 3.5mm headphone jack, memory card slot with 16 GB card included, and voice search. The first Android-powered phone for Verizon Wireless, the 3G-enabled Motorola DROID smartphone offers a full package of powerful mobile connectivity--from easy access to all your social networks and viewing of full Web sites, to spoken turn-by-turn directions thanks to the new Google Maps with Navigation Beta app

please help me i will give u 10 points...?

Q. I am planning to purchase a new cell phone...
Please tell me which brand is best and these features i need in them music player i.e mp3,gprs,camera picture quality should be good enough, memory should be more and good looking too...
Please suggest me more models and price range should be within 15000 rupees (Indian currency)...

A. Honestly, If you're looking for music, navigation, and a great camera I would go for the Google Nexus One. It sells for $179.00 with a T-Mobile Contract (2yrs) or Unlocked for $529.00, which blows your budget. On the other hand, you can get your self an iPhone 3G thats not been updated to 3.1.3 and JailBreak it so you can take it where ever and download what ever you want.

A phone thats running Android OS is honestly a good way to go, they resell in the market used for a fairly good price. But this all makes good sense "if" the phone you choose works with the provider your planning to use it with.

If GPRS is one of your main concerns, consider this, the MyTouch 3G and the Nexus One have a AGPS antenna installed in the phone, and can simultaneously use both or one. Plus, well, Google Maps on Android have voice turn by turn direction for free.

Those are just my three phones that I would consider for it. There are plenty of phones out in the market that do all that, there are just some that do it better.
Check out HTC & BlackBerry (RIM)

Good Luck!

Which is better - iPhone or Android?

Q. *prepares for cell phone war*

A. Android, hands down.

Android OS is available on multiple platforms, giving the customer more variety for hardware. Some with slide out keyboards, some with not. While specs may not be a huge deal to the average cell phone user, most new phones with Android surpass the iPhone far as hardware goes.

You're locked in with Apple, that's one thing I can't stand about ALL Apple products. I like the freedom to choose to do what I want with my computer/phone/mp3 player whatever. It's like buying a new car off the lot and the dealership telling you that you can only buy custom parts from them.

I can go on and on... While iPhones are cool, I'll take my Android any day over iPhone. Check out my latest post on 21 new Android apps for 2012 at my blog:

http://411droid.com/awesome-android-apps/

Oh yeah.. and don't forget 10 features that Android did before the iPhone :)

Quadcore 4G Qwerty Phones?
Q. I was wondering if anyone had any info about upcoming quadcore 4G smartphones, particular if they'll be on Verizon or if they'll have a physical qwerty keyboard.

I just got an iPhone 4S and I CANNOT WAIT to sell it and upgrade to a quadcore ANDROID phone.

I could've gotten a Rezound or Droid Razr, but they are too big for my small pants. thanks!

A. well were not quite at quadcore yet with android smartphones, (still at dualcore, but some tablets are quad core) but the first quadcore androids will probably be released in early 2012, Im keeping my eyes out for the galaxy s3, I currently have the s2 and its the best phone ive ever had.

as for a qwerty keyboard the Samsung stratosphere has a nice keyboard, as well as the DROID 3.

Xperia arc s OR Iphone 4s?

Q. I obviously have an idea (and experienc)e of the capabilities of an Iphone, and this latest model (4s) too.
However, I don't have an idea or experiences with an Xperia arc S.

These phones are both very recent and I was looking to buy one of them.
Obviously Iphone 4s beats Xperia with almost everything, but I'm still interested in the arc because;

1) It is (especially) cheaper to buy. The cheapest and effective deal for me id £20 monthly for Xperia whilst Iphone 4s is £40 (double).
So money-wise Xperia would be greater.

2) I like recording or taking pictures. Xperia SEEMS better in this section, but you tell me.

3) I understand that the App Store has more apps than the Android Market, but still; please let me
know if it's a good idea to get Xperia even then. There are many apps great for xperia, and they may work better with Xperia? I also know Xperia has Adobe Flash, so how does that help?

Please just summarise the benefits of Xperia X10 over Iphone and help me decide because I'm more fascinated in buying Xperia rather than Iphone; the money is the main reason why.

A. xperia - 1.4ghz single core processor 512 mg ram.
iphone - 1 ghz single core processor 512 mg ram.
xperia - 4.3 inch screen.
iphone - 3.5 inch screen
both have 8mg cameras with led flash
xperia has flash that will allow you to view the internet until HTML5 is wholly adopted
iphone does not have flash so you only see apple version of internet until HTML5 is wholly adopted.
xperia - android OS
iphone - iOS
as far as hardware goes both the xperia & iphone4S are average at best with specs that were only just scraping by for what is expected from todays current line up of smartphones. both these phones are outclassed already & will be considered obsolete come 2012.
both phones however do still perform well & will suit the budget conscience that dont lust after the bleeding edge high tech phones from samsung, htc & motorola.
as both phones are very similar in spec & capabilty it comes down to personal preference. if you are a girl or have small hands the iphone may suit you but if you have no problem holding a slightly larger device you will love the larger 4 inch screen of the xperia. the xperia does feel very nice in the hand & is a nice weight giving it an overall quality build feel. the iphone feels small & fragile by comparison.
as far as apps go, apple claims about 100,000 more apps than android market but when you have several hundred thousand apps to choose from on both stores the difference is kind of pointless unless you intend to have 32 weather apps or 55 news apps etc on your iphone,,you can get every type of app on android to do the same things as what you can get through the app store.
operating system is a a personal preference as well. if you are computer literate & comfortable using a computer, adjusting settings etc then iphone OS will frustrate you no end. if you dont really know or care about how to use a computer & pretty much computer illiterate then iphone will be perfect for you, iphone's ease of operation & stability comes at the cost of limited functions & locked down settings. remember the old saying. "apple doesn't ask what it's customers want, apple ask's what it's customers can do without".as my son's friends at school say " iphones are for soccer moms who only know how to use a computer to play solitare" if your main reason is price for getting the xperia then you will have a win win. android will allow you to do every single thing an iphone can do plus lots more that iphone cannot do. fun stuff like widgets, live content etc. good luck & have fun.

HTC Desire S or Sony Ericcson Xperia ARC?
Q. Which is the better phone HTC Desire S or Sony Ericcson Xperia ARC?
Which have the better features? And if you have one of these phones please give a review
Thankss :)x

A. Both phones share a lot in common as both run on the latest android 2.3 (gingerbread) os using 1Ghz processors. The Xperia sports a larger screen size 4.2" to 3.7" but has a lower ram 512mb vs 768mb.

One distinct advantage of the Arc is its 8 mp camera that produces good pictures even in low light condition. So if image quality and large screen size is important to you go with the Xperia Arc if these factors are not deal breakers for you then can't go wrong with either phone.

best phone in android for a range of rs.7000?

Q.

A. You can buy HTC.....

Looking for a decent Android phone for my father; budget around 7000 INR?
Q. Main requirements are:
1> Easy access
2> Front camera for video chat
3> Decent internal memory so that it doesn't hang

My dad will use it, currently he is using a simple Nokia phone. He is not very tech savvy, so a simple easy to get used to phone is what I am looking for, hopefully cheap too.

If it can do video calls through Skype or Google Hangout, that would be added advantage.

Thanks

A. I think samsung galaxy y series is the best choice.,

Why buying android phones under RS. 15000 ?

Q. i was wondering why on earth people are running after android devices under 15000 budget.i own ace,i found no use in buying a droid under 15000,battery sucks, screen sucks, support only some crap apps of no use, also will not get any further os update.
Im telling this coz my cousin bought 603 running on belle its much better than similar priced ace, when he plays games like asphalt6,eternal legacy hd etc i can even play angrybird properly on ace,the conditions are even worse for devices below ace.
So why on earth are people buying these.

A. People hear that Android is on par with iOS. That is partially true, since high-end phones can really match the omnipresent iPhone 4 and 4S, but those cheap HVGA resolution phones with less than 1Ghz processor Androids can't match the iPhones. They are badly misinformed if they believe that their midrange to low-end Android can really support the hundreds of thousands of apps Android has. Even the Samsung Nexus S do not support all those apps. My N8 can support Angry Birds without any lag, while the Samsung Ace lags while it is played on it. The marketing strategies of phone manufacturers are pretty misleading too. The higher the number, the better it sounds for people. A little research on their part would not hurt to be safe.

I agree that midrange to low-end phones are somehow more cash wasting than high-end phones.

I just posted there everything I thought of. I hope it helped.

Android Mobile Phone? Suggest me a best android touch screen smartphone for a price of below 15000 RS.?

I need a really good phone?

Q. I am looking for a smartphone. Which phone is closest to be like the iPhone? Android or blackberry? These are the lists of the phones I can choose from.

Samsung Transfix
Blackberry Curve 8530

Which one is better.

A. Go with Android phones unless you are a big Apple lover like using iTune store or Mac.

I have an iphone4 for myself. I have friends who have an iPhone4s, a Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket and a Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S. Galaxy,Xperia and iphone4s come with a great digital camera. I wish my iPhone4 has a better camera like theirs. I like my iPhone4, the battery lasts long and I love the front camera.

Android phone does most of the features that the iphone does. You can even download some apps for free when you have to pay with the iPhone. Android also offers a great GPS using Google technology.

If I were you, I would choose an Android phone or iPhone4S whichever cheaper with a warranty.

what is the best android version for xperia arc s?
Q. Hi friends! Plz tell me what is the best android version for sony xperia arc s. Ics or jelly bean. I heard that some people meet lot of problems with ics update. Just like lagging hanging automatically restarting etc. But i dont know abt jellybean update. Is it a official version or root version?. What version is the best for use? arc s users and others knowing well about this phone please help me. Im going to but one arc s.

A. The best version of Android for your specific Model of Smart Phone is ALWAYS the one that's currently installed.

And, when there's a newer version available, it will have been pre-tested on your SPECIFIC phone, and then, it will be Upgraded automatically.

So, wait for the next Android Update, and then look for the Version numbers in your phone's Settings > Updates..., to see what version they gave you.

Thanks

A. There's no need to every song is mastered to suit the genre it's intended for the reason why people don't get the most of their music is because the earphones or headphones beat it speaks are of low quality meaning you won't notice the difference between a wav file and an mp3 .

What is second hand rate of nokia n95 8gb in mumbai?
Q.

A. Hi

You should get it around for Rs 7-8k

But i doubt if we still get n95, its such a old phone.

It is very old, doesn't have good O.S ( loaded with old version of Symbian ) + second hand than it should not cost more.

However i would suggest get some new phone like HTC Wildfire with Android.
