Q. I have a Nexus 7 (android 4.1.1) and a Motorola droid x 2 (android 2.3.5). What are some apps that will help me sync more data (chrome bookmarks, documents, photos)? Thanks.

Should I buy HTC one google edition or normal?
Q. I've had an iPhone device most of my life. My contract is ending on august 9th and I want to try out an android phone. I know that the Google edition runs jelly bean 4.2 and the normal one runs 4.1. Whats the difference. I don't really understand android. It seems so bulky and not smooth. I always hear about the customization ability. Can I change the look of the status bar? App designs? Run a different version of android?

And Finally Do I have to buy the Google play edition for $600? Can I buy it with a contract form like best buy?

A. You should get the normal HTC One version. The Google version should only be for die hard Android fanatics. The normal version comes in Android 4.1 but recently the update to Android 4.2 (the latest version) has been rolling out so you shouldn't worry about that. All the changing the looks you listed are easily to do. All you need is to download a launcher from the Google Play store and you can customize your phone to that launcher. The normal HTC One version does run on a different version of Android but all Android manufactures (HTC, Samsung, Sony, etc.) add something different to their android phones to make it stand out. The Google edition runs on the normal Android version, which is how Google envisioned Android should be without those extra stuff. Finally, if you want the Google edition you have to buy it at the $600 cost as it only comes in the unsubsidized cost.
