What the difference between cell phone internet and WiFi?

Q. to clarify, I had gotten an android phone and like all phones, they have internet provided by the service, in my case Verizon. Most of the time it asks me if i want to use WiFi and got me thinking, what is the difference between the default internet and WiFi?

A. When you use your Android to connect to the internet without WiFi you are using the 3G or 4G network from your cellular provider as the internet connection. This is where your data plan comes into play. Whenever you use bandwidth without being connected to WiFi, the data counts towards your monthly data plan. If you have unlimited data, you don't have to worry about it, but if you have a tiered data plan, I would strongly suggest connecting to WiFi whenever possible to keep your bandwidth usage down.

Can someone help he out with verizon 4g android phones?
Q. I am getting a new phone soon and am on Verizon and wanted to get into android. I already have an ipod touch 4g, so games are not primarily what i want. I want a phone that is great for watching movies(youtube), gets new android updates quick, and an os, that help me and wont get in my way. I am deciding between thunderbolt, bionic, and samsung. Any personal experience with the brands would help too.

A. herz a list
