Would you choose Android or Iphone ?

Q. Would you choose Iphone or Android and why! Whats so good about, what sucks about it !

A. iPhone sucks compared to 2013 flagships of Android.

Battery Life:
The Galaxy S4 and HTC One have been rated to last an entire day if you use it moderately, if you play games, etc, don't expect them to last long!

iPhone 5's battery is puny compared to these phones, but it lasts around the same time. Web browsing time is better though since the Web Browser is better optimised in iOS than in Android.

Performance:
HTC One and Galaxy S4. More cores, better architecture (Krait 300 and Cortex-A15 vs Apple's modified thing)

Still, iPhone is smooth. But Android phones will last longer.

Display:
HTC One: 1920x1080 resolution SLCD3 4.7' display (469 ppi), One of the best displays ever made (General consensus on review sites).
Galaxy S4: 1920x1080 resolution SAMOLED 5' display (441 ppi), Super Amoled HD is nice, blacks are deep and take up no power.
iPhone 5: 1136x640 resolution 'Retina' IPS LCD 4' display (326 ppi), Although nice on iPhone 4, the screen is nothing compared to newer screens from HTC and Samsung.

Need I say more?

Android VS iOS:
Android offers customisability out of the box, Jailbreaking iPhones makes it slow down over time. (due to mobilesubstrate add-ons required to keep the Jailbreak there.)

-Jailbreaking is getting harder, iOS 6.1.3 has NO jailbreak. Likely iOS 7 won't have one either. iOS 6 took almost half a year to jailbreak.

Android is flexible, rooting does not slow it down, once support is dropped, you can still upgrade to latest version of Android if the guys at XDA support your device well enough. (The first Google collab. device, Nexus One has been seen running Android 4.2, the final official release was 2.3).

Build Quality
Oh dear. The iPhone usually wins this category by miles over Android.

Not this year.

The iPhone 5 is prone to bending and scuffs, probably due to the thin (and very thin) aluminium. Good build quality? I don't think so.

Whilst Samsung is still making their phones out of plastic (which I don't like and Galaxy S2 was the best device Samsung produced in my opinion (I still own it)) it is still strong and doesn't bend or break easily, but scratches easily.

HTC One is the first Android device to match the iPhone in build quality (Anandtech) and design. That means there is no gap between Android and iPhone anymore. iFans, do not claim Androids are pieces of plastic and enjoy your bendy piece of metal.

Price:
Android phones can range from cheap to downright expensive. But you're still getting fairly good (even latest gen, albeit slower) hardware with cheaper phones. Cheap iPhones are leftover last generation devices. Want a cheap 4' iPhone? You can only get the iPhone 5.

Features:
Samsung is the king of features right now, but I call them gimmicks (like S-Voice, blatant rip-off of Siri, and touch-less touch screen, useful if you use gloves, not useful in Australia).

iPhone's features are good, except for Maps (which is broken, Australian towns don't show up 75% of the time) and Passbook (which I find useless) and there are still no Widgets.

The other Android phones have their 'features' but I usually root and install AOKP on them as soon as I get them (I like unicorns).

There, pitfalls and upsides of Android and iPhone.

I would choose an Android for a phone and an iPad for a tablet. You get the best of both worlds that way.
