Q. How do i know if i have galaxy nexus or nexus 2?..if i type nexus 2 in google its the same
A. There never was a "Nexus 2". All of Google's Nexus devices have been named differently. Here are the names of each device.
Google Nexus One - Made by HTC and released around Q1 2010 - Q2 2010 (3 year old phone now). First of the Nexus phones and had extremely high end specs during its release. All aluminum design, 3.7" AMOLED display (or SLCD display depending on the model). Has a circular trackpad that glows when a notification is received.
Google Nexus S - Made by Samsung and released around Q4 2010 - Q1 2011. Introduced the Android 2.3.x Gingerbread OS. Has capacitive buttons and removes trackpad that Nexus One has. 4" SUPER AMOLED display and a plastic design.
Google Galaxy Nexus - Made by Samsung and released around November 2011. Introduced the revamped Android 4.0.x Ice Cream Sandwich OS. First Nexus device to have a dual core processor, 720P HD display and 1GB of RAM. 4.65" SUPER AMOLED HD display and has a removable back similar to the Galaxy S II.
Google Nexus 7 - Made by ASUS and released around Q2 2012 - Q3 2012 (India got it around Q1 2013). First Nexus tablet ever introduced with the Android 4.1.x Jelly Bean OS. Also first Nexus device to have a quad core processor (nVidia Tegra 3).
Google Nexus Q - Made straight from Google's headquarters and originally released around June 2012. First device to be integrated straight with the Google Play Store. First Nexus device to be a total flop (according to CNN.com). First device to be discontinued so early after launch (discontinued around October 2012 with the announcement of the Nexus 4 and Nexus 10).
Google Nexus 4 - Made by LG and released around November 2012. First Nexus phone to have an all glass design and the first phone to be released with the Android 4.2.x Jelly Bean OS. One of the first Nexus devices to have 2GB of RAM.
Google Nexus 10 - Made by Samsung and released around November 2012 (February 2013 for Japan). First Nexus device to have such a powerful display (2500x1600 HD display) and the first device to have an A15 based processor. First tablet to have the Android 4.2.x Jelly Bean OS and 2GB of RAM.
These are all the names of the Nexus devices. Hopefully you can find out which device you have from there.
